Easy weeknight chili that is healthy enough for me to think I'm being healthy when I eat it. Lots of protein, lots of fiber, low to no saturated fat. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Ingredients

Ingredient Amount
96% Lean Ground Turkey 1lb
Kidney Beans 16 fl. oz. (1 can, drained)
Black Beans 16 fl. oz. (1 can, drained)
Diced tomatoes 8 fl. oz. (1 can Rotel/Hatch/Whatever, sometimes with peppers, NOT drained)
Vegetable Oil 1 Tbs
Salt 1 Tbs
Cumin 1 Tbs
Chile Powder (note the "e" here, something like New Mexico Chile powder works well) 4 Tbs
Garlic Powder 1 Tbs
Onion Powder 1 Tbs

Directions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in deepish pan and brown all the turkey. I say "deepish" because you're going to be throwing in a lot more than just 1 lb of turkey when all is said and done.
  2. Open all your sad canned food and drain the kidney and black beans
  3. Once turkey is browned lower the temperature of the pan and dump in all the other ingredients
  4. Stir pan until combined and allow to simmer for A While™
  5. Eat it good.
